Programming [flashing] of the electronic control unit 0B5 | DL501
If the ECU is out of order - there is an option to replace the unit with a used one (buy)
Before installing a used unit, it must be reprogrammed.
For programming you need:
• "Old" block - from which the data will be copied (the block must communicate - be read by the diagnostic equipment).
• "New" block - to which the data of the old block will be transferred.
Programming can be done on the table (the blocks are removed from the transmission) or on the car without dismantling the block.
Important!
The original number must match on the "old" block and on the "new" block! The software number is printed on the block in small print in the place indicated in the figure (see Fig. 1). There are first generation units without a software number, only with the main TCM number [applied in larger font]. In such cases, the blocks must have the same TCM number.
