The Low Pressure Control valve provides 1, 2 and 3 gear shifting during engine braking, in case of valve or channel wear, the following symptoms appear:

Shocks when switching 3-2-1
No engine braking in 1st gear
No engine braking in 2nd gear
No engine braking in 3rd gear

Please note, the installation of such a valve allows you to raise the vacuum by 3-7 inHg. This is not a universal method of repair, and if there is critical wear in the valve body channel, it will not help you, in this case it is necessary to install an oversized valve:
