Power from the planetary gear is transmitted to the drive shafts via the intermediate gear pinion and differential. The differential design is no different from that used in other automatic transmissions with a leading and driven cylindrical gear. The drive shafts are connected to the flanges, the flange shafts are located in the differential. The 01M differential has a separate oil pan. It is isolated from the planetary gear lubrication system by a bearing cap of the leading gear with a gasket. The type of oil used to lubricate the differential differs from that used in the planetary gear. The differential is not lubricated by the general lubrication system. The oil level in the main gear and planetary gear is checked separately using the speedometer rod. The speedometer drive hole is used as a control. The main gear (starting with the input shaft pinion) must be adjusted after disassembly, assembly and replacement of parts.
