In this torque converter model, friction plate and front cover form a single inseparable part. Friction plate cannot be replaced as a separate component, only assembled with the front cover.

When the friction plate fails, the speed begins to “swim”, and vibration occurs at the moment of lock up. In the process of further operation of the car and ignoring these symptoms, the torque converter lock disappears and, during diagnosis, the device generates error P0741.

• Error P0741 - Torque converter lock-up solenoid valve - functioning or “sticking” when closed.
