Torque converter needle thrust bearing 6R Series BL3P OD 85.59mm ID 63.40mm TH 3.85mm (mounted between the reactor wheel and the turbine wheel)

  • Outer diameter - 85.59 mm.
  • The inner diameter 63.40 mm.
  • Thickness - 3.85 mm.
  • Bearing complete with bearing race.

A characteristic manifestation of the malfunction of the thrust needle bearing of the torque converter located between the reactor and turbine wheels is a rustling metal noise when the car engine is running. When driving and gaining speed, this noise may disappear completely, but when the speed is reduced and the transmission is in neutral mode, the noise appears again.

With prolonged ignoring of symptoms of malfunction, the bearing crumbles and rotates along with the bearing race. Direct friction of metal on metal begins, which inevitably leads to further destruction of the contacting parts. In most cases, the reactor wheel, since it is made of aluminum, and the turbine wheel of steel,  provides higher resistance to damage. But after turning the bearing in bed, it may require regeneration or a complete replacement of the part.
