An external filter is installed after a major overhaul, a complete oil change, or the detection of chips in the system. It prevents wear products washed out by the new oil from entering the valve body and solenoids.
The SPX main filter wear products down to 10 microns , such as corrosive material, adhesive bonding of friction discs, small chips from clutches and locking clutches.

How do I connect filtration or cooling? You remove the heat exchanger and install an additional filter via an adapter.
