Drum 4-6-R / 5-7 Clutch FORD 8F57 - K2GZ-7J251-A (12 holes around the circumference)

• Overall height - 73 mm;
• Outer diameter - 154.70 mm;
• Inner diameter of the sleeve - 46.50 mm;
• Number of teeth on the outer side - 36 pcs. (ext. Ø 139.95 mm);
• Number of teeth on the inner side - 36 pcs.;

This drum was removed from used FORD 8F57 transmissions that had damaged input shafts.

We removed the shaft, which was originally pressed into the body of the drum , and cut splines in it. On the inner surface there were traces of the previous fit.

To restore the geometry, a new aluminum layer was welded on and then processed to a standard size. This allows the new shaft to be pressed in and ensures its secure fixation in the drum body.

The surface finish may have slight porosity , which is acceptable. When pressed, the shaft with more than 200 small splines independently forms the seats, cutting them during pressing. This ensures a reliable connection and eliminates the possibility of the shaft turning in the drum .

This drum has 12 holes around its circumference, which ensures faster filling of the piston cylinder with oil.
