The intermediate shaft is responsible for transferring the torque from the Counter Drive gear to the differential ring gear. This shaft fails due to critical wear of the bearings when the gears start to work at a break and the load exceeds the maximum permissible level. It is necessary to replace this node if there are chips on the teeth.
