Piston C2 cover with the C2 piston create pressure in a drum which activates 4-5-6 gears. Their wear can result in shifting problems of these gears or their disappearance. Overaccelerating when shifting from 3 to 4 gears is a symptom of worn piston. C2 AW TF-80SC, AW TF-81SC.
