A common reason for gear replacement is that one of the bevel gear bearing races in the transmission housing has become loose. The most common occurrence is the rotation of the bearing race in the front transmission housing, as a result of which the gear loses its center relative to its original factory position and begins to bite into the aluminum transmission housing, continuing to break the race seat and shift along the axis, the gear becomes misaligned and destroys the teeth and transmission housing. The consequences are visible in the photo.
