The brake band of drum RE5R05A is pressed by a brake band. It is responsible for the rear, third and fifth gears. Overrunning inside the sun gear transmits the rotation of the rear , first, second and third gears. Overrunning clutch of 3rd gear is the most vulnerable place in the drum. The drum is equipped with needle bearing. Earlier versions have a slide bearing. There are three types of the drum sun gears . This drum runs on diesel Nissan Pathfinder and Navarra. Pay attention to the bronze washer under the circlip. If the washer is worn overrunning clutch will soon be turned over.
