Our refurbished ZF 8HP65 units are delivered as a Complete Driveline Solution. To ensure maximum longevity and a plug-and-play experience, we have already pre-filled the Integrated Transfer Case and the Front Differential with the correct high-performance synthetic fluids.

Software Handling Options
Option A: Ship your old TCM (Recommended)
Before we ship your refurbished unit, send us your original (old) TCM or the complete mechatronic. We will use FLEX to perform a full bench clone. You will receive a 100% plug-and-play gearbox.
Option B: On-Site Cloning
If your mechanic has a MagicMotorsport FLEX or a similar Master tool (such as Autotuner), you can perform the clone at the shop. You must Read the Full Backup (Flash + EEPROM) from the old unit and Write it to the refurbished one.
Important: Quick Learn Procedure
Even though we have cloned the software, every refurbished 8HP65 has slightly different internal tolerances. The Quick Learn procedure tells the computer exactly when each clutch starts to grab. Without this, the first few shifts might be too harsh or too soft, which can cause unnecessary wear on the fresh clutches.

Step-by-Step Calibration:
- Warm Up: The transmission fluid must be between 65°C and 90°C.
- Stationary: The vehicle must be on a level surface with the engine idling and the brake pedal firmly pressed.
- Trigger: Select Fast Adaptation or Quick Learn in the transmission service menu.
- The Process: The car will stay in D and you will feel the vehicle shake or "thump" slightly for about 2–5 minutes. This is the computer testing each clutch pack.
- Finish: Once the tool says Successful, the base learning is complete.
