The pump provides oil pressure in the mechanical part of the automatic transmission and the valve body. Over time, the oil inside the gearbox is contaminated with friction coating particles and other mechanical inclusions that leave scratches on the rubbing surfaces of the aluminum housing of the oil pump. As a result, the oil pressure drops and the pump can jam, which causes a number of faults in the automatic transmission.

To restore the oil pump casing, the specialists of the Maktrans company offer the processing of damaged surfaces on a digitally controlled milling machine.

The pump body is mounted on the rotary table, then each surface is processed with a miller at 2000-2,500 thousand rpm. In one pass, 0.1 mm of surface is removed.

The treatment takes place from the most damaged surface, while the depth of the groove is observed until a perfectly flat state is obtained. Further, at the same depth, the remaining surfaces are also processed, which preserves the structural proportions of the entire part. The restored pump body provides the required oil pressure in the automatic transmission in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer and according to the characteristics of the mechanical precision of the processing repeats the original.
