Shift solenoid TCC Line Pressure (31 TORCUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID)

The torque converter lock-up solenoid switches on the direct transfer from the engine to the axles when driving on 4th and 5th gear. This is designed to reduce engine speed and reduce fuel consumption when driving at high speeds. If the engine rpm does not decrease when driving at high speed, then the torque converter lockup does not activate, this could mean a failure of the TCC lock up solenoid. In this case, errors P0740, P0744 are diagnosed and replacement of the solenoid is recommended.
