Shift solenoids control the K1, K2, K3, B1, B2 packs which are responsible for the gearshifting.

The following symptoms indicate the failure of a solenoid:

- unclear gearshifting

- lack of some gears

- slip when shifting gears

The following errors occur during diagnostics: P0753, P0758, P0763, P0768, P0773.

Replacing the Shift solenoids EV-1, EV-2, EV-3, EV-5, EV-7 (VAG-No.88, 89, 90, 92, 94) solves the problem.

As a rule, solenoids fail due to a break in the electrical circuit or mechanical wearout inside the solenoid.
