What is the plate for?

Radiators used in automotive after-cooling systems are typically made of aluminum and/or copper. Depending on the type of radiator and its specific application, different combinations of materials can be used:

1. Aluminum radiators:

Aluminum is a popular material for the manufacture of radiators due to its lightness, good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. Most modern cars use aluminum radiators.

2.Copper radiators:
Previously, copper radiators were more common. They have good thermal conductivity and are effective at cooling, but they are heavier and more expensive to produce, so they are now less popular.

3.Aluminum and copper alloys:
To improve heat transfer characteristics and strength, various alloys of aluminum and copper can be used.

4.Plastic radiators:
Some budget and lightweight cars may use radiators where the heat exchanger has plastic tanks and aluminum or copper cooling fins. Plastic provides lightness, while metal elements provide cooling efficiency.

   In conditions of limited space for installing an additional radiator, a situation often arises when the radiator cannot be fixed using the factory mounting holes provided, and welding additional brackets to a radiator body made of non-ferrous metals usually requires special conditions.
   To ensure greater mobility when installing an additional radiator, it was decided to use an additional steel plate that matches the dimensions of the radiator and is fixed with bolts to standard mounting holes.
   Any additional mounting bracket can be quickly and conveniently welded to the steel plate. The steel plate also provides additional structural rigidity to the fasteners.
