Valve body complete with solenoids ALLISON 2000 — 29543340, 29542971 (6-speed, 2006–2009)

Hydraulic unit design and identifiers:

Main cast elements:

• Upper part of the hydraulic unit housing: No. 29542971 (smaller section).
• Lower part of the hydraulic unit housing: No. 29543340 (large section).

Additional components:

• Separator plate - marking 2962 , GM number: 29542962 .
• Modulated Main Pressure Housing – No. 29539796 .
  • This is the smallest section where solenoid G is installed.
  • There is a hole in the corner of the body for installing a tube ( see picture) .

Distinctive features of the hydraulic unit:

✅ 5-speed gearboxes have always had a return pipe on the bottom of the valve body housing.
✅ 6-stage versions additionally have another tube connecting the modulated main pressure housing to the lower part of the valve body ( see Figure 5 ).
✅ The 6-speed version also has changes:

• TCC solenoid is a new type with a red plastic connector .
• Solenoids PCS-1 and PCS-2 – differ from the 5-stage version.

Wiring harness changes:

• Internal Wiring Harness for 2006-2009 models - GM Part Number 29543334 .

Difference in modulated main pressure housings:

• The 2004-2005 5-speed version 's modulated main pressure housing casting number is the same as the 2006-2009 6-speed version's housing number.
• The only difference:
  • The 6-speed version (2006-2009) has a hole for the tube .
  • The 5-speed version (2004–2005) does not have the hole.
