D79 automatic transmission outer filter adapter , it does not require changes to the original automatic transmission components, it is quickly installed, serviced and removed due to the system with quick-release fittings.
The main filter of automatic transmission filters wear products up to 20 microns, such as corrosive material, adhesive bonding of friction discs, small chips from friction clutches and lock-up clutches.
An external filter is installed after a major overhaul, a complete oil change or the detection of chips in the system, it prevents wear products washed out with new oil from entering the valve body and solenoids.
