Drum B or Direct in the 6HP19 automatic transmission transmits rotation in third, fifth and reverse gears. It connects drum A and the sun gear of the rear planet. Weak points in the drum B 6HP19A are:
- Slip sleeve
- Teflon Rings Bed
- Belleville spring piston B
- Low pressure due to solenoid B
In case of bushings wear or plain bearings in the drums of the automatic transmission 6HP21 or 6HP19, slipping or failure to engage reverse gear occurs.
Replacing the bushings in the automatic transmission 6HP19 is a mandatory repair procedure.
