How do you use this product? If I’m to purchase this to test the valve body, how do I know what’s good and bad on the valve body? Thanks

This tool is intended for technicians who already understand how a valve body works and are familiar with its basic operating principles.

Vacuum test specifications for many valve bodies can be found on the Sonnax website. If no specifications are available for your particular valve body, a general rule of thumb is that vacuum readings below 15 inHg often indicate excessive bore wear, meaning the valve or bore likely requires repair or replacement.

However, this is not a universal rule. Some valve bodies are designed to operate normally with vacuum readings around 15 inHg or even lower. Whenever possible, always refer to the specifications for the specific valve body you are testing.
