The hydraulic pump is located in the mechatronics housing. Driven by an electric motor.
The electric motor for the hydraulic pump is a brushless DC motor. The electric motor is driven by the mechatronics electronic control unit depending on the pressure requirements.
A hydraulic pump works in the same way as a gear pump. It sucks up hydraulic oil and forces it into the oil circuit at a pressure of approximately 70 bar.
