ZF 4HP14, ZF 4HP14Q

The four-speed automatic transmission ZF 4HP14 started its journey in 1983 in small-displacement cars from Peugeot and Citroën. Later, it found its application in Daewoo vehicles as well. It was successfully used in Volvo and Saab cars with engines up to 2 liters.

The major improvements were made in 1986 and 1989, after which it remained popular thanks to its reliability and ease of maintenance. GM subsidiaries, especially Chevrolet in Latin America, also valued this transmission. It continues to be in demand in Ukrainian-assembled Daewoo Leganza, Nubira, and Lanos-Chevrolet vehicles.
